Whether you are an individual or group looking to use the facilities at Kelly’s Cross Country we can cater for your needs and special requirements. Below is a summary of the facilities we can provide for your visit:
Cross Country Course
Kelly’s Country Course is set in 175 acres of beautiful forestry. The course was designed by David Young with some help and advice from Tommy Brennan in 2009 and it is now well established and mature. The focus of the course lies in the safe confines of the meadow surrounded by high hedges and woodland ground. There are over 35 well maintained fences with all the variety required to meet the needs of all abilities up to open standard.
We have two routes available with plenty of challenging fences of varying heights. The blue route is ideally suited for schooling green horses and the red/green route is better suited to the more experienced. The course includes a water complex, ditches, banks and a wide variety of other obstacles from 50-100cm.
Our parking facilities can accommodate a number of boxes on hard standing. There is no need for reversing as there is ample room for turning with a horse box attached. For larger groups and events there is plenty of parking in one of the two concreted / hardstanding yards.
You are welcome to extend your visit by bringing lunch/ tea.
